This is something that I've been craving; to start my day in the present, exuding joy, and checking in.

Your morning sets the tone of your entire day. If you've ever woken up on the wrong side of the bed, you can attest to this.
So, what happens when you open your eyes and immediately grab your phone and start scrolling?
You are filling your mind with information that is probably less than positive and filled with fear and it creates an external stimulation making it harder to let your intuition shine through.
Even if you aren't reading and seeing content that is fear-based, it's usually not steering you toward a way of coming into your highest self.
How can we stop this never-ending cycle of mindless scrolling and zombie-like addiction?
Start with mindful practices that connect us back to ourselves first thing after waking.
6 Ways to Wake Up with Joy
Even if these things absolutely in no way resonate with you- restrict your phone time to at least 30 minutes after waking. Prohibiting that external stimulation will do your mind and soul wonders. You'll wake up to your thoughts and enter the day with your own feelings and intuitions.
Your morning sets the tone for entire day, so setting an intention or two could also help you ground into your center when your day gets hectic.
Statements such as "I Am...." "I Will...." "I Feel...." can be the compass back to the heart center.
