You are tired, you are burnt out, and you're wishing for any kind of escape to happen.
Day after day, you are fighting the urge to drop everything and run.
Run where? Anywhere that will provide a sense of peace- a calming sensation.
We've all been there and most of us wish our life to be completely different.
But, do you want in on a little secret?
The secret that will change your daily life and how you go about your daily activities.... I know you do!
The answer is "me time". That's right, just simple and sweet me time!
Inside of you is a place so sweet, so blissful, and so pure that the hectic life you live can melt away. So many of us leave ourselves behind and do for others until we are completely depleted and have nothing left to give.
I'm a firm believer in me time, simply for the fact that it can bring us back to the self-awareness of knowing when we need to stop.
When you put others before yourself, time and time again, your energy centers run low because you're giving so much, and not recharging your battery.
Does this mean you can't help, give favors and perform selfless acts? HELL NO!
You can do all these things and with a sacred space of me time, you'll never feel depleted from it, because that little voice inside of you will let you know when it's time to slow it down.
So, how are you supposed to fit time for yourself into your day if it's filled to the brim with chores and "to-do's"?
It's simple, but probably the farthest thing from it-
Make time for yourself.
If you have 5 minutes, you have time for yourself.
Your "me time" can be:
5 minutes may not seem like much, but trust me you'll notice the effects immediately.
My suggestion is you set up a place in your house where you can close the door, and shut the world away for a moment in time.
You'll need silence and, if a walk or run in nature is the me time you'll need, the sounds of Earth can be your silence (which is beautiful).
Get creative! If you have children, wait for the significant other to get home. If you are a single parent, try waking up earlier or providing for yourself after you put the kids to bed.
You can do it!!
Shut down your smart phone, as well. Eeekkkk.... probably want to quit there, but don't give up yet!
We're all so disconnected from ourselves because we are overly connected to the online world.
All you need is 5 minutes. Five minutes of relaxation, of peace, of bliss, of serenity. Your energetic battery will slowly start to recharge and you, yourself, will notice a tremendous difference in your thought patterns, and performance of activities.
Never get so busy that you leave yourself behind, friends!
